Dressed in fashions of the day, I present the War of 1812 (with sound effects), in its entirety, using a cast of cartoon characters to unfold the action on your classroom blackboard.This presentation takes about one and a half hours and costs $5.00 per student.

In a one and a half hour session, Jeff Wakefield gives your class the history behind this classic African American instrument, showing you how to make it and how to play it. Participants will learn some simple songs from popular mid 19th century composers and performers like Dan Emmett (“Old Dan Tucker”, “Dixie”) and Stephen Foster (“Camp Town Races”) to more modern melodies. The cost is $5.00 each* and every participant receives a finished kazoo.
